I recently discovered Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life and have found some really neat stamps. I was searching for penguins and found her site - I quickly became a club member and my first stamp set is Mr Snail --

Thank you cards for special teachers

I had a request to create two special cards for a couple teachers .... with a burgundy and white color theme

 I just got my white ink and really wanted to try it -- so I did and oh I love how it looks on dark card stock. It is opaque and with a hint of the color of the paper that it is stamped on.  So the white dried to a barely pinkish color on the SU Raspberry Ripple Card stock  I am not sure the pics do it justice, but believe me it is a really neat look.

So with my white ink and color theme in mind I went to work designing and creating two cards that were similar but not exactly alike. I used the same colors in both, but I varied how I used the third color, Stampin' Up purple.  One card the base is Perfect Plum with the mat and embellishments are Blushing Bride. The other card the card base is blushing bride with perfect plum for the mat and embellishments. Aside from the die cuts (spellbinders nestatbilities circles and scalloped circles) I used Stampin' Up products (ink, paper, punches).

Friend Collage

I created this collage for my daughters Birthday with her 3 childhood friends. I had to send it to Florida via UPS and I am anxious to find out if it made it there safely. I used black and white photos on a purple background and various purple and coordinating colors for embellishments. She was home for her birthday so I was able to give it to her in person - and - she loved it. Exciting for me -- and her!

Mother's Day cards

I am enjoying creating Mother's Day cards and imaging what my mom think of them. I can hear her me now telling how beautiful whether they are or not :)

Triple layer

Ties for guys

I was trying to come up with ideas for masculine cards and this is one of my ideas. I asked my son what he saw on the card and he said ties... So I think my idea worked. I am still trying to think of how to embellish - what to use for tie tacks?!

Thank you for Yankee fan

I created this card with a Yankee fan in mind (my son chad to be specific). I used all Stampin Up products. I sketched and cut out the bats (whisper white) then used sponges to shade them with basic grey then soft suede. The pinstripes are whisper white and midnight muse. The baseball is layered on soft suede. The card base is basic grey. Basic black trims the card and accents the 3white brads.
